Lemonade parasols. | WritingMonique
July 14, 2014

You know me, and you all know how much I love parties and sparkle. So when I found out that the next couple of days are going to be very sunny around here; I wanted to make a few little craft details to show me love for the summer and the sun. And what do you use more on a lovely summer days, then a glass of fresh, cold lemonade.

Supplies needed:
– Split Pin
– Ribbons
– Straws

Cut your ribbons in the lengte of your glass (from bottom to bottom). You will put the split pin in the middle of the ribbons, and you can arrange the ribbons just how you want them to fit your glass. At last, you will pull the split pin out a little bit, so the pin will go into the straw easily but won’t fly out at anytime.

As you see on the photo above: you can use the parasol to cover your straw and you can remove it when you want to drink.

I love the colorful and sweet result, it just looks so cute. Also… it kinda reminds me of those carrousels you see during fun fairs. It won’t take much of your time, but it will magically put a smile on the face of every one of your guests.

Small question: I am working on finding my favorite and best way to explain my projects. I would love to know what you think of this combination between using photo’s and using written text?

Such a cute idea, love it.

I think that idea of you using pictures WITH a written text would be great. It’d make your content very easy to share on Pinterest. I know that I myself get a nice amount of traffic to my blog from Pinterest whenever I pin my own photos and people are always on a lookout for a DIY project ;)

These are so cute! I am such a visual learner so I love the photos but it’s awesome when bloggers add a little written instructions in case the pics aren’t too clear.
